Lee DeLorenzo began her financial service career in 1979. Lee is President of United Asset Strategies, Inc., a registered investment advisor; United Wealth Planning, which provides wealth, estate and financial planning services including budgeting and asset protection strategies; United Financial Group, Ltd., an individual and group insurance agency; and United Retirement Consultants, Inc., a full-service pension administration firm. Lee is a Certified Financial Planner®, Certified Private Wealth Advisor®, Accredited Investment Fiduciary®, Qualified Pension Administrator, and licensed life and health insurance professional. Lee is ranked as one of America’s Top 100 Women Financial Advisors by Barron’s from 2010 to present and a Top 100 Advisor by the Financial Times. She earned a spot on Forbes' inaugural America's Top Women Wealth Advisors list for 2017 ranking as number 47 out of the 200 female advisors recognized for the quality of their practice out of thousands across the country. Lee has contributed to Forbes, Fox Business News, the Wall Street Journal, and the Financial Times. She is a member of the Investments & Wealth Institute, American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries, the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, Financial Planning Association, and the Association of Divorce Financial Planners.
After graduating from West Point, Michael Riccardi served our country for seven years as a U.S. Army Captain, including a tour of duty in Saudi Arabia during Desert Storm. Michael’s financial services career, now spanning over 20 years, includes public finance investment banking to local governments, municipal bond underwriting and trading, institutional bond sales to mutual fund managers, and establishing arbitrage hedging strategies for institutional bond trading desks. Michael serves United Asset’s clients as a portfolio manager and investment counselor. His knowledge and experience with fixed income and keen sense of business development assists our clients with goal-setting and portfolio-building to ensure that proper asset allocation and a proper investment plan is adopted. Michael is a member of the Financial Planning Association.
Richard Sajkoski joined United Asset Strategies in 2011 as a portfolio manager and investment counselor. After graduating from West Point, Richard served our country for seven years and finished his distinguished service as Captain in the United States Army. From 1993 to 2005, he was vice president of trading at a major broker/dealer where he specialized in fixed income. From 2006 to 2011 he served as vice president and branch manager of a major global bank. His career in the financial services industry spans 20 years and his experience includes: financial counseling, underwriting, trading, institutional bond sales to mutual funds, and the development of arbitrage hedging strategies for a fixed income trading desk. Richard is FINRA 7, 24, 63, and life and health insurance licensed with American Portfolios.
After receiving his BA in Economics from Drew University in 2009, Guy Riccardi joined United as a Portfolio Manager. He has experience with fixed income, equity trading, and client service support, which allows him to aid our clients in meeting their financial goals and needs. His responsibilities include helping clients set proper investment targets and build portfolios. Guy is a CFP ® professional and holds life, health, and variable insurance licenses.
Thomas Healy has more than 23 years of investment industry experience, having worked for Bessemer Trust and Smith Barney prior to joining United Asset Strategies in 2015 as a portfolio manager and investment counselor. Tom spent the last 18 years at Bessemer, most recently as Director of Client Portfolio Analysis, where he focused on client portfolio review and construction, comprehensive transition management and the diversification of concentrated positions. He also held the positions of Deputy Research Director and Senior Equity Analyst covering a variety of sectors including Energy, MLPs, Media and Telecomm Services. He earned a BA in Economics from SUNY Albany and is a Level III Candidate for the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Erin A. Gibbons is a CFP® professional with more than 18 years of planning and investment industry experience. Erin has a BA from Marist College and a Certificate in Financial Planning from Bryant University. He is a National Social Security Advisor (NSSA®) and holds life, health and variable insurance licenses. Prior to joining United Asset Strategies, as a Senior Financial Advisor in 2013, he worked for Stifel and Charles Schwab. Erin believes that personalized attention to clients’ needs will build lasting relationships. He is dedicated to going above and beyond to help clients pursue financial success and enjoy financial security before and throughout their retirement years. Erin believes strongly in comprehensive financial, retirement and estate planning strategies and in the importance of proper asset allocation, diversification and wealth management. He aims to align proper planning and money management strategies to allow clients to focus on what matters most to them and their families. Erin also assists clients with estate settlement, charitable giving, Social Security, college planning, insurance, risk analysis, bookkeeping, bill pay, budget and cash flow planning. In his free time, Erin enjoys golf, soccer, boating, skiing, volunteer work (Angela’s House & Food Allergy Anaphylactic Network), and spending time with family and friends.
Rodney Che earned his BS in Business Administration from Northeastern University and is a member of the American Association of Professional Technical Analysts (AAPTA). Rodney began his financial services career in 1995 as a registered representative. Prior to joining United Asset Strategies in 2002, he worked for several prominent money management firms serving in the capacities of arbitrage trader and market maker. Rodney currently serves as a Senior Investment Strategist and Chief Operating Officer for UASI. As a member of the Academy of Certified Portfolio Managers and a holder of their CPM® designation, Rodney is involved with investment research, valuation analysis, risk management, and portfolio management. Rodney's insight into technical analysis has been quoted by the Wall Street Journal.
Matt DeLorenzo earned his BA in Political Science from Columbia University in 2007. He started his financial services career on an equity trading desk at a global financial services firm and joined United in 2008, where he focuses his efforts on identifying opportunities in the bond market. By leveraging trading relationships and utilizing his expertise on various electronic trading platforms, Matt obtains quality execution on trades for the firm’s clients. He is also responsible for portfolio management, equity research, and security selection.
Wei Lee earned his BA in Psychology from Stony Brook University in 2005. He started his career in financial services as a portfolio associate for a registered investment advisor, where his duties included client service, investment research, and portfolio management for the firm's high net worth clients. His responsibilities at United Asset Strategies include investment research, security selection, and portfolio management. Wei is a Level II candidate for the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Thomas Laviano earned his MBA® in Corporate Finance in 2012. He began his career in financial services in 2004 as a registered representative providing high net worth clients with portfolio management and financial planning services. Thomas specializes in evaluating investments from a technical perspective in order to complement the firm’s fundamental research. His additional responsibilities include fixed income and equity trading, portfolio management, and investment research.
Cindy Somer originally joined United Asset Strategies in 2001 as a Financial Advisor after beginning her financial services career in 1997 at Charles Schwab & Co. Cindy developed and maintained both retail and institutional relationships until she temporarily left the industry to focus on starting a family. Cindy rejoined United Asset Strategies in 2014 and is focused on helping clients develop well balanced portfolios through strategic asset allocation models.
Prior to becoming a Financial Advisor, Gina worked as an Institutional trader on Wall Street for 23 years trading equities and communicating investment ideas to high profile accounts such as JP Morgan Asset management in NYC and Van Kampen American Capital in Houston, Texas. Gina also worked on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange covering large institutional accounts and hedge funds, trading their order flow. After two decades on Wall Street, Gina pursued her passion for developing relationships and providing one on one advice. At United, Gina helps clients define their financial needs and goals, and works with the United Asset team cultivating and implementing the plan to attain their objectives. She also assists with risk management using her life, disability and long-term care insurance licenses and experience.
